There’s so much variation in listening patterns, listening sessions, repeat plays, libraries, likes, etc between the two of you happening so frequently that I don’t think it’s possible to actually achieve 100% unless you both listen to all of the exact same music and nothing else. Spotify Blend, which launched in beta in June 2021, is an easy way to create a playlist that features a combo of two users’ listening preferences. While you’re liking/adding all of the the songs attributed to your friend in the Blend, your friend could be listening to something entirely different-something not in the list. In the same vein, your friend’s listening and taste has just as much impact on the percentage. Just because you like song A by an artist, doesn’t mean you’ll like all songs by that artist that your friend likes. It’s a match rate based on your overall, ongoing listening history and changes over time.įor example, simply listening to the “new” songs or adding them to your library may now mean that you share similar taste with your friend in those songs, but your friend may listen to more than just that one song by that one artist. The percentage isn’t specific to the songs in the list-meaning, liking/adding them doesn’t automatically increase the percentage. P.S.: You can always check the percentage by checking the Blend's options and selecting the "see the Blend story", and it seems to be updated daily, just as the tracks in the playlist change. Launched in 2021, Blended playlists update daily with new songs based on the listening habits of its members, although the playlists are limited to 50 tracks. Is it just streaming directly from the playlist, everyday, but you cant like and add the tracks ? Blend is a Spotify feature that lets you create playlists with friends and family, and the service will automatically generate a list based on both your interests. How does it work? Has anyone figures out at least some part of the algorythm that would push the number up? This could absolutely be a misleading observation of a false pattern, but thats what happened to me multiple times already. Then I tried only to listen to the playlist's tracks, without adding them to my favourites, and the percentage went up again to 94%. Even tho I listened to them and added them to my favourites. What I found so far is that whenever there are new tracks added to the playlist, and I "heart" all of the new one that I dont have, THE PERCENTAGE ACTUALY DECREASED by one, down to 93%. I've got 94% with a friend of mine, and I wonder if we can push it any higher? Is there any way to actively increase the percentage of a one-to-one Spotify Blend?
